Krish Dutta was born in Calcutta and studied Tagore from childhood. She has lived for many years in London where she works as a teacher. Andrew Robinson has worked in publishing television and jourlism and is a frequent visitor to Bengal. Among his other books are Satyajit Ray: The Inner Eye and The Art of Rabindrath Tagore a study of Tagore's paintings and drawings. He is currently literary editor of the Times Higher Educatiol Supplement. Krish Dutta and Andrew Robinson are the authors of Rabindrath Tagore: The Myriad-Minded Man and the editors of Selected Letters of Rabindrath Tagore. They are also the editors/translators of Noon in Calcutta: Short Stories from Bengal.
