This book covers all aspects of Microprocessor 8085, 8086 and Microcontroller 8051. The interfacing of microprocessors and microcontrollers has been described in detail. The introduction to PIC and ARM microprocessors has been discussed to give the readers idea about the latest microcontrollers. The flow of the book follows the evolution of microprocessor, definition of digital computer and computer languages in Chapter 1 and then a brief review of the digital concepts is given in Chapter 2. Chapters 3 and 4 include microprocessor 8085 and 8086 architecture, pin configuration, instructions set, stack and subroutines, addressing modes and interrupts. Chapter 5 is devoted to interfacing devices and interfacing with microprocessors and microcontrollers. Chapter 6 describes various microprocessor applications. Chapter 7 includes higher microprocessor 80XXX architecture, pin configuration, instructions set, addressing modes and interrupts. Chapter 8 is about Microcontroller 8051. It covers all aspects of 8051 and its interfacing. Chapter 9 describes ARM and PIC microcontrollers. It gives introduction about their architecture and programming aspects.
Chapter 10 describes the embedded systems and its characteristics. Brief programming part is also included. In the appendix, the programming using Keil software has been discussed and instruction set for 8085, 8086 and 8051 has been given. Special stress is made towards programming side where a large number of programs have been illustrated. To conclude, the book gives complete reference to 8085, 8086 and 8051.
