His area of specialisation is Industrial Sociology, Tea Plantation Workers of East North-East India, Himalayan Society of Eastern Himalayas and North Eastern Himalayas and Labour Education. He has already published six book to his credit among which Tea Industry in India. An Introduction, Himalayan Tea Plantation Workers, Socio-Economic lfei of Cinchona Plantation Workers are very important publications. Presently, Dr. Sharma is actively engaged in a research study on Globalisation and Tea Plantation Workers in Eastern Himalayas., Shri T.C. Das (Born: 1950) did his M.A. in Economics from the University Guwahati (Assam).
