Aravind Adiga was born in Chennai. He was educated at Magdalen College Oxford and Columbia University in New York where he studied English Literature. His articles on politics business and the arts have appeared in international newspapers and magazines including Time The Financial Times and The Sunday Times. His first novel The White Tiger was published in 2008 and won the Man Booker Prize. His second book Between the Assassinations a collection of stories was written before The White Tiger.
