View More Binod Mishra, faculty in the HSS department of IIT Roorkee has Taught in Various reputed institutes. He has authored nine books and edited nine anthologies, presented papers in many national and international conferences,and also published a good number of papers in various journals and anthologies. He has delivered talks in various reputed institutions and also conducted three short term courses and many workshops. His areas of interest include Indian Writing in English, Professional Communication, Soft Skills, Creative Writing in English and Womens Studies. One of his books entitled Communication Skills for Engineers and Scientists (co-authored with Sangeeta sharma) is being used as a text book in many professional institutes. An elected Treasurer of AESI (Association for English Studies Of India), Dr. Mishra is also on the editorial board of various reputed journals. He has received awards such as AIMS International Distinguished Service Award (2008), & Outstanding Editor of the Year (2009), given by AIMS International. International Poets Academy, Chennai, India conferred on him ???Excellence in World Poetry Award 2010???. Kalpana Purohit is Professor in the Department of English at Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur. Her earlier stint as the Head of the Department, Birla Institute Mumbai and the first Coordinator of Communicative English, mumbai University sponsored by UGC reflected her administrative acumen. A member of several academic forums, Editorial Boards and an active researcher, she has extensively published articles in journals of national and international repute. She has published books on D.H. Lawrence, Absurd theatre and Literature for Children. A widely travelled person, she has also presented several papers at seminars and conferences and actively engaged in supervising Ph. D Scholars. Her areas of interest are American Drama, British Short Stories, Post Colonial Literature, Comparative Literature, Womens Studies, Media and Communication, French Studies. She is a recipient of prestigious Hira Lal Shastri Award for Women Education.
