First published in 2011 the series revolves around the life of Harry Clifton and people associated with him. While the first novel Only Time Will Tell talks about his life from 1920 to 1940. Cometh the Hour is all about family fortunes struggles political drama love affairs and business mishaps. Framed around four main characters the book begins with a suicide note this suicide note will have serious consequences on the lives of Giles Barrington Harry Clifton Lady Virginia and Emma Clifton. The plot revolves around all the four main characters each character in the story is entwined in his or her life's challenges continuously searching for a way out. Sir Giles is still confused over whether to give up politics or not and to liberate Karin his lady-love. However the big question here is does Karin love Giles too or she is just a spy.
