Richard Rose is Professor of Special and Inclusive Education and Director of the Centre for Special Needs Education and Research at the University of Northampton. He has previously held posts as a teacher and head teacher in four English LEAs and has worked as an LEA inspector. Richard is author of nine books on special and inclusive education, and has published widely in a range of academic journals. His current research interests are in the areas of inclusive teaching in primary schools and pupils as independent target setter.
