She earned her BA from the University of Burdwan in 1986 and MA from Visva Bharati in 1989. Her first publication was in Indian Philosophical Quarterly in she earned a post graduate diploma in Higher Education called PGDHE from IGNOU in 1997, which was on teaching methodology, to teach the students who are above 18. She has completed a Minor Research Project, sponsored by UGC, on man and thing relation from the perspective of Indian modern philosophical thinkers like Tagore, Gandhi and Aurobindo. She has been a lecturer of Nistarini College of Purulia of WB since 1999.
