To his credit he has three postgraduate degrees, viz., M.A. Economics, M.A. Development Studies and M.A. Sociology besides B.Sc. Zoology degree. He earned his Ph.D. Degree in Regional Economics. Dr. I. Sundar has a passion for higher research and has to his credit 118 papers of which Forty-six have been published in international journals. In addition to this, he has published 18 boks. He participated in a number of National and International seminars and has presented 86 research papers. He is the Chief Editor of the journal of Environmental Science Research International with ISSN 0975-1866 and Assistant Editor of the Indian journal of environment and eco-planning with ISSN 0972-1215. He has undertaken two research projects funded by the State Government and the Central Government respectively. He has received a gold medal from the international society of ecological communiation for his outstanding contribution to research in environment and sustainable developments.
