Someone Like You further describes Niharika's roommate, Pia, who's also a good friend and is in a long term relationship with Vishal. But Tanmay begins to like her and Pia reciprocates. The friendship between Niharika and Akshat also gradually develop feelings for each other, which they are not sure of.
