Dr Pinakin Shah is a consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon practising for the last 35 years in Mumbai at Borivali. Besides spine surgery, joint replacement and trauma care, he has a keen interest in poetry, teaching, classical and folk music, photography and travel. After schooling in Gujarati medium with technical subjects at S.S.C. he took up I.I.T. Aeronautics at Bombay to soon switch over to medicine at K.E.M. hospital. Ergonomics, the art of living from a doctor's perspective, ways to prevent accidents, backache, common Orthopaedic problems and ways to solve them are his forte. He has given talk on Care TV, on backache, written articles in bulletins and newspapers, His articles on health issues are well sought in magazines.
