The Riddle That Never Was (Enid Blyton: Riddles) is one of a series of 180 books that are actually originally scripted and tentatively written by Enid Blyton. These books have been either heavily edited or posthumously rewritten and published by other authors much later. This book was published in paperback form in 2013 by Bounty. The Riddle That Never Was (Enid Blyton: Riddles) features the usual gang in the Young Adventurers series of books: young siblings Nick and Katie and their neighbors and best friends Mike and Penny. In this particular book, the 4 children are trying to enjoy their summer holidays, when they stumble upon Uncle Bob--the notoriously mischievous, but rather enterprising and fun uncle to Nick and Katie--who is bored and looking for something to do to occupy him for the summer. Despite his job as a private investigator, he maintains that his life is rather dreary, and so the children team up and give him an engaging riddle to solve. Though, despite it being only a game, it turns out to really lead to a great mystery. Key Features: This is the second book in the posthumously published Young Adventurers series. The book is part of a set of TV series of the same name It has sold millions of copies.
